MY REPORT

A man stuck in a lift had to be freed by firefighters who arrived at the multi-story car park in Mount Pleasant.

Arriving on the scene at 9:05am, emergency services were unable to free the man until 9:50am.

Kevin Berensky, 34, a plumber from west Derby, was the man in distress.

Mr Berensky added:

“I was getting fed up because i lost an hours work”.

“The last straw was , I got back to my van at the car park,
there was a sticker on the windscreen for a £40 penalty charge for staying
beyond my time limit. Liverpool City Council runs the car park
and it was their lift i was stuck in, there is no way I am paying that fine”.
