Summer Wells Reward Fund Scandal videos from Enchanted LifePath and friends covering the unlawful fundraising marathon held by YouTubers in October 2021.
Summer Wells is a missing girl from Rogersville, Tennessee. She was 5 years old when she vanished from her home on Ben Hill Rd. She was last seen on the afternoon of June 15th, 2021
On June 21st, a reward fund was set up by Tim Coup and Church Hill Rescue Squad in hope that it would help lead to tips that would provide information resulting in the recovery of Summer Wells.
An account was opened at Civis Bank where funds were instructed to be sent for the reward fund.
The fund was originally set to expire 6-months later on December 15th, 2021, but that deadline was extended until June 2022 on October 5th, 2021.
On October 6th, YouTuber Qiani Carlock began to engage in unlawful fundraising on her channel where she was aided by other suspects such as Scott H, Tasha from True Crime commentary (also known as Penny, and Fizzle), John Q Cue, Susan Brewer aka LipLocked NoMore.
The group worked together to lure donors into parting with their money, which was directed to Qiana Carlock’s own payment portals instead of to the official Summer Wells Reward Fund.
The donations were made by people who were emotionally manipulated into raising over $32.000.
On June 8th, an email along with a letter was sent to Church Hill Rescue Squad to raise concerns about the legitimacy of the reward fund and how both the YouTubers and CHRS had conducted themselves during fundraising in the name of Summer Wells.
On June 23 2022, Captain Tim Coup, of the Church Hill Rescue Squad board members released a statement that was seen on WJHL news where he stated the money in the reward fund would be dealt with by the courts.
A week later, a petition to Hawkins County Chancery Court was made public that named Q Carlock as a defendant.
