Over 50.000 armed people are heading to Washington DC this week with various other elements adding to the fact nobody in the whole of America would deny there is a very hostile atmosphere building around the capital in the days leading up to president-elect, Donald Trump’s, inauguration on Friday, January, 20, 2017.
Thousands of bikers are reported to be planning to form a wall of protection around trump and surrounding areas to block off violent protesters to see a peaceful inauguration, 1000’s of protesters including the #DiscruptJ20 movement, over 5000 National Guard troops are also in the Capitol along with thousands of armed police all seemingly more ready for civil war than a presidential celebration.
This years’ presidential transition has been far from smooth, with Trump involved in a highly publicised war of words against the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and various mainstream “fake news” outlets, such as CNN, over the #HackGate allegations from the outgoing Obama administration, which escalated, as the current president blamed Russia and Donald Trumps close counterpart, Vladimir Putin, for fixing the results of the 2016 US elections, which Trump won, beating Hillary Clinton to become the 45th president of the United States of America back in November.
In the hours after Trumps election win was declared, we seen a substantial amount of protests break out nationwide with many people pouring onto the streets of America to rally against the man they declared as not their president.
We have seen a host of dirty tricks played by the media and the outgoing/losing administrations with many reports emerging during and after Trumps election win, of an order being sent round to “destroy Trump”, before his Inauguration in January.
With all we have seen, the spontaneous, erratic and seemingly staged out-pour of emotion since his victory, would you, a critical thinker, question these reports as fake, or view them as real threats and take them very seriously indeed?
Tension is at boiling point, now more so than ever, around the inauguration of a new president, opinions are being swayed by mainstream propaganda towards Trump, people are taking the bait and allowing themselves to be lead down a path of blind rage.
We have seen many strange things before and after the elections, in a new twist, a host of celebrities are pulling out or not attending the inauguration celebrations as many of them fear performing at the historical event will harm their careers as they would seem to be supporting Trump.
Barrack Obama’s concert in 2008 included the likes of Beyoncé, U2, Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen, but things are different in 2017 with stars in inauguration exile to fend off any potential backlash, many people are on route or already in Washington, but there seems to be a lot of people staying away from DC on Friday.
Elton John heads the bill of non-performers after an interview in November when Trump said he wanted the “tiny little dancer singer” to perform, a statement was released by Elton John’s management team to state he Will not be making an appearance.
Moby also made his opinions clear by asking Trump to pay his performance fee by releasing his tax records, a typical jab at the next chief and commander of state.
Moby added: “Hahahahaha, I was just asked by a booking agent if I would consider djing at one of the inaugural balls for #trump,” Moby wrote on Instagram. “Hahahahaha, wait, Hahahaha, really? I guess I’d DJ at an inaugural ball if as payment #trump released his tax returns.”
Since then many more stars have pulled out including Gene Simmons, Charlotte Church, Ice-T and George Lopez.
Though some stars are supporting Trump, with Nicole Kidman going public to back the incoming president, saying: ‘‘I Believe in Democracy’’.
16-year-old “America’s Got Talent” contestant Jackie Evancho will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” live to close out the inauguration ceremony at the U.S. Capitol, but not without pressure being heaped on the young singer.
“My family is kind of a big target,” Jackie Evancho said. “I have a transgender sister, and so a lot of hate goes towards us.”
All this does is create more sense of division in the sub-conscious minds of the general public who fail to spot the signs of the intense manipulation they are being placed under by the people who have orchestrated this whole melting pot for a very long time.
So what role do groups like Disrupt #J20 come into this?
A website from the has arranged mass protests across the whole of the United States and cities in other nations.
January 20th | 12PM | Columbus Circle | Festival of Resistance
The DC Counter-Inaugural Welcoming Committee is organizing a Festival of Resistance on inauguration day, beginning at 12pm at Columbus Circle (in front of Union Station), and marching to McPherson Square.
This march will be fully permitted, and we are organizing marching bands, drummers, puppets, and vibrant displays of art and culture to show the diversity and power of resistance to Trump’s agenda.
We need you to come out and join us to show that we won’t back down. We’ll march in solidarity to protect our communities and reject racism, sexism, transphobia, Islamophobia, ableism, and all forms of hate and oppression.
We will resist despair and fear with hope and resistance.
A further statement on the website claims: #DisruptJ20 rejects all forms of domination and oppression, particularly those based on racism, poverty, gender & sexuality, organizes by consensus, and embraces a diversity of tactics.
A more in depth schedule of the planned protests shows the scale of the anger towards Trump but also it should pose the question of who is creating all of this unrest and what is the agenda behind it? Will there be flash-points and will any shootings take place? Will Trump be assassinated?
