Our Children’s Welfare Charity Representative Offers To Fight Me Outside After Permit Requested In Bootle Strand

I was in Bootle Strand Shopping Centre with a friend today and came across two representatives from a charity called Our Children’s Welfare. I found their presence to be concerning as they shook collection buckets at passers by saying nothing other than “sick kids”.
I set up a Facebook Live stream and then began to question the two men who were built like bouncers. They tried to make their size matter when confronted by me on their approach to collecting money from members of the public.
I asked them what sick kids they are collecting for and was not told any specific group of children as they became hostile when questioned further.
I asked them if I could see their identity badges as they were turned inward meaning i could not identify them which meant it was merely a piece of plastic rather than an identity card.
When I asked for the names of the two reps they refused to tell me. When I asked one of them if I could see his badge I was shown it briefly which was more of a look at a badge as opposed to me being able to see or identify him or the company.
I then asked to see their permit to ask people for money in the shopping centre. I was told by one of them that tbe permit is held by the Shopping centres managemnt team. I was told this is where I would have to go. I found this odd as I wanted to see his peemit which he should of been able to show me. This then resulted in the bigger man of the two telling me to “Get Outside” for a fight.
He then walked 100 yards before he realised he was in uniform and being recorded live. By now he had removed his identity card. He then back tracked on his bravado and said he was going to the site managers office with me. I was now going to follow him to the office and discuss his permit and company details. He then asked me where there management office was. This was not normal as he had told me he had given his permits into the office but he had no idea where it was.
The situation was then intercepted by security who then told me to go to the managers office and speak to them which I did.
I was then apologised to for being told to get outside for a fight and advised that he centre had a similar situation not long ago and the company in question had not been allowed to return.
The charity has now been reported and a follow up investigation will take place.
The charity in question have raised eyebrows with various members of the public who watched my live stream and together it took us no time at all to do some digging and find leads and names to follow up on also.
One line of information pointed towards the Blackpool area being one which is well known for charity fraud and charities from London or Bristol will have links to Blackpool. Our Children’s Welfare is registered in Blackpool.
The charity has been in operation for around 18 months after being founded on December 15, 2016. They do have a website but it is still under construction which after 18 months is simply a disgrace. I could build the website up for them in 24 – 36 hours and it would have content, contact information, company registration numbers and other obvious things like a donate now button which would show donation totals. The heap dubious website you find when when visiting Our Children’s Welfare has nothing on it. Not a single thank you. No mention of what type of sick children they collect for. This is not good enough. They have no social media accounts. The collection purpose misleading as is the charity registration info does not mention sick kids.

The Veterans Trust, renamed TVT Fundraising Ltd, is now fundraising for a charity called Our Children’s Welfare. Founded in 2016, it has no website and has not started any work.
Figg, 58, says the charity gets 20% of funds raised plus any profits after TVT Fundraising’s costs.
“I can sleep at night,” he said. “I’m not doing anything underhand – I pay the charity.”
I asked Our Children’s Welfare trustee Emma Parriss if the public would be happy knowing what proportion of donations it receives.
“I don’t know, to be honest,” she answered. “Is there an issue with it?”
